Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple - Muthyampet, Jagitial, Telangana
This temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman whose swayambhu Deity is worshiped here. The temple is said by the locals to have been built by a cowherd here 300 years ago. The scenic surroundings offers a pleasant view in addition to the spiritual aura here.
A cowherd by the name Singam Sanjeevudu lost his buffalo and came to this place searching. Being tired, he fell asleep fast. Lord Hanuman appeared in the cowherd's dream and told him the location of his buffalo. When he started searching in the said place, he came across a swayambhu Deity of Lord Hanuman. He built a small temple at the same spot. Later on, the temple was renovated.
