Skanda Sashti Special Muruga Homam

Skanda Sashti is a six-day celebration celebrated in the tamil month of Aippasi masam. In 2014, Skanda Sashti begins on October 24th and closes on October 30. Soorasamharam and Thirukalyanam are on 29th and 30th October separately. The celebrated 'Vetri Vel' droning that happens on the Shasti day is connected with the triumph of Skanda over Soorapadman.
