Yuddha Kaanda Sargas 47
Yuddha Kaanda - Sarga 47
In this Sarga, the Vānara chiefs put their army on high alert and in defense formation, themselves guarding over Rāma and Lakshmaṇa.
Meanwhile Rāvaṇa has Laṅkā decorated and the death of Rāma and Lakshmaṇa pronounced through the entire city. He summons the Rākshasis who guard over Seetā and orders them to take her in the aerial car Pushpaka to the battle field and show Rāma and Lakshmaṇa. He prophesies that Seetā would come to him, as there is no more hope of Rāma rescuing her.
Seetā, from the Pushpaka, sees Rāma and Lakshmaṇa writhing in the dust, Vānaras standing by them in grief and Rākshasas rejoicing. Her heart broken, she weeps loud and for long.
