    விநதந்தோ மஹாநாதம்
    கநா வாதேரிதா யதா ॥
    tē'mbaraṃ sahasōtpatya
    vēgavantaḥ plavaṅgamāḥ ।
    vinadantō mahānādam
    ghanā vātēritā yathā ॥
    Those swift Vānaras leapt into the sky quickly,
    making roaring sounds like clouds driven by the wind.

    அங்கதே ஹ்யநநுப்ராப்தே
    ஸுக்ரீவோ வாநராதிப: ।
    உவாச ஸோகோபஹதம்

    aṅgadē hyananuprāptē
    sugrīvō vānarādhipaḥ ।
    uvāca ṡōkōpahatam
    rāmaṃ kamalalōcanam ॥
    While Aṅgada was yet to arrive,
    Sugreeva, the king of Vānaras said to
    Rāma of lotus eyes who was oppressed by grief:

    ஸமாஸ்வஸிஹி பத்ரம் தே
    த்ருஷ்டா தேவீ ந ஸம்ஸய: ।

    samāṡvasihi bhadraṃ tē
    dṛṣṭā dēvī na saṃṡayaḥ ।
    nāgantumiha ṡakyaṃ taiḥ
    atītē samayē hi naḥ ॥
    Please be at ease, may all bode well for you!
    Seetā was found, without a doubt!
    Otherwise, they would dare not come here
    after the set time limit has expired!

    ந மத்ஸகாஸமாகச்சேத்
    க்ருத்யே ஹி விநிபாதிதே ।
    யுவராஜோ மஹாபாஹு:

    na matsakāṡamāgacchēt
    kṛtyē hi vinipātitē ।
    yuvarājō mahābāhuḥ
    plavatāṃ pravarō'ṅgadaḥ ॥
    Aṅgada, the crown prince of mighty arm,
    the best among the Vānaras,
    would not come into my presence
    if the mission had been ruined.

    யத்யப்யக்ருதக்ருத்யாநாம்
    ஈத்ருஸஸ்ஸ்யாதுபக்ரம: ।

    yadyapyakṛtakṛtyānām
    īdṛṡassyādupakramaḥ ।
    bhavētsa dīnavadanō
    bhrāntaviplutamānasaḥ ॥
    Aṅgada would have had a sad face
    and his heart would have
    been broken and disoriented,
    if they went on doing something like this
    without having accomplished the mission.

    பித்ருபைதாமஹம் சைதத்
    பூர்வகைரபிரக்ஷிதம் ।
    ந மே மதுவநம் ஹந்யாத்
    அஹ்ருஷ்ட: ப்லவகேஸ்வர: ।
    கௌஸல்யாஸுப்ரஜா ராம
    ஸமாஸ்வஸிஹி ஸுவ்ரத ॥
    pitṛpaitāmahaṃ caitat
    pūrvakairabhirakṣitam ।
    na mē madhuvanaṃ hanyāt
    ahṛṣṭaḥ plavagēṡvaraḥ ।
    kausalyāsuprajā rāma
    samāṡvasihi suvrata ॥
    If that lord of Vānaras (Aṅgada)
    was not overwhelmed with joy,
    he would have not pillaged the Madhuvana
    that came down from fathers and grandfathers
    and was guarded well
    (through the ages) by all the ancestors.
    O Rāma of great discipline,
    O the best son of Kousalyā, please be at ease!

    த்ருஷ்டா தேவீ ந ஸந்தேஹோ
    ந சாந்யேந ஹநூமதா ।
    ந ஹ்யந்ய: கர்மணோ ஹேது:
    ஸாதநேऽஸ்ய ஹநூமத: ॥
    dṛṣṭā dēvī na sandēhō
    na cānyēna hanūmatā ।
    na hyanyaḥ karmaṇō hētuḥ
    sādhanē'sya hanūmataḥ ॥
    Seetā is found, without a doubt!
    It must be by none other than Hanumān,
    for no one else could have accomplished such a task.

    மதிஸ்ச மதிஸத்தம: ।

    hanūmati hi siddhiṡca
    matiṡca matisattamaḥ ।
    vyavasāyaṡca vīryaṃ ca
    sūryē tēja iva dhruvam ॥
    O astute one! Dedication, intelligence,
    enterprise, valor are native to Hanumān
    like radiance is to the sun.

    ஜாம்பவாந்யத்ர நேதா ஸ்யாத்
    அங்கதஸ்ச பலேஸ்வர: ।

    ந தஸ்ய கதிரந்யதா ।
    மா பூஸ்சிந்தாஸமாயுக்த:
    ஸம்ப்ரத்யமிதவிக்ரம: ॥
    jāmbavānyatra nētā syāt
    aṅgadaṡca balēṡvaraḥ ।
    hanumāṃṡcāpyadhiṣṭhātā
    na tasya gatiranyathā ।
    mā bhūṡcintāsamāyuktaḥ
    sampratyamitavikramaḥ ॥
    With Jāmbavan leading, Aṅgada heading the army,
    Hanumān presiding over the effort,
    the outcome cannot be anything different.
    Please do not get worried now,
    O you of limitless prowess!

    ஸுஸ்ராவாஸந்நமம்பரே ।

    கிஷ்கிந்தாமுபயாதாநாம்
    ஸித்திம் கதயதாமிவ ॥
    tataḥ kilakilāṡabdam
    ṡuṡrāvāsannamambarē ।
    hanumatkarmadṛptānām
    nardatāṃ kānanaukasām ।
    kiṣkindhāmupayātānām
    siddhiṃ kathayatāmiva ॥
    Then a chirping sound was heard in the sky,
    indicating the success of the
    roaring forest-dwellers headed towards Kishkindhā,
    proud of the accomplishment of Hanumān.

    ததஸ்ஸ்ருத்வா நிநாதம் தம்
    கபீநாம் கபிஸத்தம: ।
    ஆயதாஞ்சிதலாங்கூல:

    tataṡṡrutvā ninādaṃ tam
    kapīnāṃ kapisattamaḥ ।
    āyatāñcitalāṅgūlaḥ
    sō'bhavaddhṛṣṭamānasaḥ ॥
    Hearing the sounds of those Vānaras,
    the tail of the eminent Vānara (Sugreeva)
    became erect and his heart became joyful.

    ஆஜக்முஸ்தேऽபி ஹரயோ
    ராமதர்ஸநகாம்க்ஷிண: ।

    ājagmustē'pi harayō
    rāmadarṡanakāṃkṣiṇaḥ ।
    aṅgadaṃ purataḥ kṛtvā
    hanūmantaṃ ca vānaram ॥
    Then those Vānaras, who were eager to see Rāma,
    came down, led by Aṅgada and Hanumān.

    தேऽங்கதப்ரமுகா வீரா:
    ப்ரஹ்ருஷ்டாஸ்ச முதாந்விதா: ।

    tē'ṅgadapramukhā vīrāḥ
    prahṛṣṭhāṡca mudānvitāḥ ।
    nipēturharirājasya
    samīpē rāghavasya ca ॥
    Then those Veeras such as Aṅgada
    landed, happy and delighted,
    near the king of Vānaras and Rāghava.

    ப்ரணம்ய ஸிரஸா தத: ।

    hanumāṃṡca mahābāhuḥ
    praṇamya ṡirasā tataḥ ।
    niyatāmakṣatāṃ dēvīm
    rāghavāya nyavēdayat ॥
    Then, Hanumān of mighty arm,
    saluting with his head bowed,
    informed Rāghava that the Dēvi
    was able to sustain her routine and was unharmed.

    த்ருஷ்டா தேவீதி ஹநுமத்
    வதநாதம்ருதோபமம் ।
    ஆகர்ண்ய வசநம் ராமோ

    dṛṣṭā dēvīti hanumat
    vadanādamṛtōpamam ।
    ākarṇya vacanaṃ rāmō
    harṣamāpa salakṣmaṇaḥ ॥
    Hearing the Amṛt like words ‘Seetā is found!’
    coming out of the mouth of Hanumān,
    he, along with Lakshmaṇa, felt extremely happy.

    நிஸ்சிதார்தம் ததஸ்தஸ்மிந்
    ஸுக்ரீவம் பவநாத்மஜே ।

    பஹுமாநாதவைக்ஷத ॥
    niṡcitārthaṃ tatastasmin
    sugrīvaṃ pavanātmajē ।
    lakṣmaṇaḥ prītimān prītam
    bahumānādavaikṣata ॥
    Lakshmaṇa looked with affectionate regard at
    Sugreeva, who was pleased that the
    trust he had in the son of Vāyu was vindicated.

    ப்ரீத்யா ச ரமமாணோऽத
    ராகவ: பரவீரஹா ।
    பஹுமாநேந மஹதா

    rāghavaḥ paravīrahā ।
    bahumānēna mahatā
    hanumantamavaikṣata ॥
    Extremely pleased, Rāghava, slayer of enemies,
    looked at Hanumān, showing his great regard.
    இத்யார்ஷே வால்மீகீயே
    ஸ்ரீமத்ராமாயணே ஆதிகாவ்யே
    ஸுந்தரகாண்டே சது:ஷஷ்டிதமஸ்ஸர்க:॥
    ityārṣē vālmīkīyē
    ṡrīmadrāmāyaṇē ādikāvyē
    sundarakāṇḍē catuḥṣaṣṭitamassargaḥ॥
    Thus concludes the sixty fourth Sarga
    in Sundara Kāṇḍa of the glorious Rāmāyaṇa,
    the first ever poem of humankind,
    composed by Maharshi Vālmeeki.
