ந ஹ்யந்யஸ்ஸாதநே ஹேது:

தஸ்மிந்வாநரபுங்கவே ।
வ்யவஸாயஸ்ச வீர்யம் ச
ஸ்ருதம் சாபி ப்ரதிஷ்டிதம் ॥
na hyanyassādhanē hētuḥ
karmaṇō'sya hanūmataḥ ।
kāryasiddhirmatiṡcaiva
tasminvānarapuṅgavē ।
vyavasāyaṡca vīryaṃ ca
ṡrutaṃ cāpi pratiṣṭhitam ॥
None other than Hanumān could have
accomplished this mission, for only he,
the bull among Vānaras, is endowed with
the required intelligence, valor, energy,
dedication and knowledge of Ṡastras.

The outcome of an enterprise that is
led by Jāmbavan and the mighty strong Aṅgada,
and presided over by Hanuman cannot be otherwise.

அங்கதப்ரமுகைர்வீரை:
ஹதம் மதுவநம் கில ।
வாரயந்தஸ்ச ஸஹிதா:

aṅgadapramukhairvīraiḥ
hataṃ madhuvanaṃ kila ।
vārayantaṡca sahitāḥ
sadā jānubhirāhatāḥ ॥
It looks like Madhuvana is destroyed
by Veeras like Aṅgada.
They, together, seem to have hit
those who obstructed them, with their knees.
These four Ṡlōkas seems to be an alternate version of Ṡlōkas 14 through 20.

hariḥ prakhyātavikramaḥ ॥
It is to report this, that the Vānara
who is well-renowned for his prowess,
Dadhimukha by name, of gentle speech, came here.

saumitrē paṡya tattvataḥ ।
abhigamya tathā sarvē
pibanti madhu vānarāḥ ॥
Look, O Sowmitri of mighty arm,
what has just been accomplished!
Seetā is found! And that is why
all the Vānaras went about, drinking liquor.

those renowned Vānaras would not occupy
the splendid Vana that was granted (every protection).

ப்ராஹ்ருஷ்யத ப்ருஸம் ராமோ
லக்ஷ்மணஸ்ச மஹாபல: ॥
tataḥ prahṛṣṭō dharmātmā
lakṣmaṇassaha rāghavaḥ ।
ṡrutvā karṇasukhāṃ vāṇīm
sugrīvavadanāccyutām ।
prāhṛṣyata bhṛṡaṃ rāmō
lakṣmaṇaṡca mahābalaḥ ॥
Lakshmaṇa, the Dharmātma,
along with Rāghava, was very happy.
Hearing those words that came
from Sugreeva’s mouth that
fell pleasantly on the ear,
Rāma was overjoyed, as also
was the mighty strong Lakshmaṇa.

ஸ்ருத்வா ததிமுகஸ்யேதம்

ṡrutvā dadhimukhasyēdam
sugrīvassamprahṛṣya ca ।
vanapālaṃ punarvākyam
sugrīvaḥ pratyabhāṣata ॥
Feeling extremely happy on hearing those
words of Dadhimukha, Sugreeva of imposing neck
said these words again to that curator of the Vana:

ப்ரீதோऽஸ்மி ஸோऽஹம் யத்புக்தம்
வநம் தை: க்ருதகர்மபி: ।

prītō'smi sō'haṃ yadbhuktam
vanaṃ taiḥ kṛtakarmabhiḥ ।
marṣitaṃ marṣaṇīyaṃ ca
cēṣṭitaṃ kṛtakarmaṇām ॥
I am very happy to know that
they, who accomplished the mission,
are enjoying the Vana.
Their silliness, upon accomplishing the mission,
deserves to be overlooked and so I do.

இச்சாமி ஸீக்ரம் ஹநுமத்ப்ரதாநாந்

ஸ்ரோதும் ச ஸீதாதிகமே ப்ரயத்நம் ॥
icchāmi ṡīghraṃ hanumatpradhānān
ṡākhāmṛgāṃstān mṛgarājadarpān ।
draṣṭuṃ kṛtārthān saha rāghavābhyāṃ
ṡrōtuṃ ca sītādhigamē prayatnam ॥
I, along with the scion of the Raghus,
am eager to see Hanumān and the other
creatures of branches, who,
accomplishing their mission,
are as prideful as lions.
I like to hear about their efforts in finding Seetā.

அங்கை: ஸம்ஹ்ருஷ்டை: கர்மஸித்திம் விதித்வா
பாஹ்வோராஸந்நாம் ஸோऽதிமாத்ரம் நநந்த ॥
prītisphītākṣau samprahṛṣṭau kumārau
dṛṣṭvā siddhārthau vānarāṇāṃ ca rājā ।
aṅgaiḥ saṃhṛṣṭaiḥ karmasiddhiṃ viditvā
bāhvōrāsannāṃ sō'timātraṃ nananda ॥
Seeing the young duo of princes overjoyed,
their eyes expanded in delight,
every limb of theirs filled with happiness
and their object all but met,
the king of Vānaras felt extremely delighted,
knowing that the successful end of
the mission was now within the hand’s reach.
இத்யார்ஷே வால்மீகீயே
ஸ்ரீமத்ராமாயணே ஆதிகாவ்யே
ஸுந்தரகாண்டே த்ரிஷஷ்டிதமஸ்ஸர்க:॥
ityārṣē vālmīkīyē
ṡrīmadrāmāyaṇē ādikāvyē
sundarakāṇḍē triṣaṣṭitamassargaḥ॥

in Sundara Kāṇḍa of the glorious Rāmāyaṇa,
the first ever poem of humankind,
