The swift son of Vāyu fought with
Durdhara who was trying to harass him,
increasing his body size even more.

Hanuman, the Veera, an elephant among Vānaras
killed those two Rākshasas (by hurling it at them).

samīkṣya vīraḥ parigṛhya tōraṇaṃ
kṛtakṣaṇaḥ kāla iva prajākṣayē ॥
Having thus killed those army chiefs
along with their armies and vehicles,
the Vānara went back to the archway
and sat on it waiting as before,
like Time does, for annihilating the creatures.
