Sundara Kaanda - Sarga 30
In this Sarga, Hanumān, after watching the Rākshasis threaten Seetā and hearing Seetā and Trijaṭa speak, feels very happy that she is found, in search of whom thousands of Vānaras has gone everywhere.
He feels that the first order of his duty is to comfort her, who might otherwise take her own life before the day-break. Then he wonders how he could make a conversation with her without scaring her, for she might mistake him for Rāvaṇa in disguise. He is worried that her screams might draw the attention of the Rākshasis, who would call upon the Rākshasas, which would result in a fight, in which he might get captured or killed.
He realizes that if he does not speak to her, she might give up her life, finding no hope of rescue, and if he does speak to her, he may get caught, or killed and thus leaving no one who can reach her who is lodged in a secure place in the middle of an ocean. He sees that the cause of Rāma would be hurt either way.
After thinking over thus for a while, he decides to quietly sing the praises of Rāma, remaining on the tree branch, which would create trust in her.
