Sundara Kaanda - Sarga 13

He wonders whether she could have been killed when she resisted Rāvaṇa or from the sheer freight from seeing the terrifying wives of Rāvaṇa.
He then imagines the consequences of his returning and telling Aṅgada on the other side of the ocean and then telling Rāma, Lakshmana and Sugreeva in Kishkindhā about not finding Seetā. He imagines that Rāma, upon hearing that there is no trace of Seetā, would give up his life, and then Lakshmaṇa, Bharata and Ṡatrughna would follow suit. Then he concludes it is better for him to stay right there in Laṅkā and keep searching till he finds Seetā; and if she was not to be found, to spend the rest of his life under a tree, subsisting on whatever falls into his hands by providence.
He then sees a Vana with Aṡōka trees. He thinks he would go there, as he had not searched it so far. He prays for the blessings of all the Dēvas and other forces, and hopes to find Seetā.

He wonders whether she could have been killed when she resisted Rāvaṇa or from the sheer freight from seeing the terrifying wives of Rāvaṇa.
