O forest dwellers! You should search every place
that can be reached by hopping over mountains or by boat,
and also the mountains and towns that stretch into oceans,
and the habitations along the long ridges of Mandara.
(Search) among those populations
who cover themselves with their ears,
who have lips for their ears,
who have frightful faces that seem to be made of iron,
who have just one leg, and among those
endless hordes of hefty man-eaters
and among the hunters with sharp heads.
(Search) among those with
a golden complexion and pleasing appearance,
the island-fishers who live on raw fish,
and fierce amphibious creatures
who are known as human tigers.
