Aranya Kaanda - Sarga 24
In this Sarga, Rāma also sees the same terrible omens that Khara sees. Rāma tells Lakshmaṇa that it is going to be a big fight with possible danger to their lives.
He asks Lakshmaṇa to take his bow and arrows and take Seetā with him to a an impenetrable cave. He tells Lakshmaṇa that he would like to kill all the Rākshasas himself.
Meanwhile Dēvas, Gandharvas, Siddhas, Cāraṇas, Maharshis, Rājarshis, Brāhmaṇas, et al assemble to witness the fight between fourteen thousand Rākshasas on one side and just one, Rāma, on the other.
Then the Rākshasas approach Rāma, making loud noises. Rāma takes a good look at them and gets ready with his bow and arrows. Rāma, in his wrath, was fearsome for anyone to look at, like Shiva at the time of destroying the Yajña of Daksha. The army of Rākshasas looked like a mass of black clouds at sunrise.
