(Santhoshi Matha the mother who gives happiness , is the latest Goddess to join the Gods of Hindu pantheon . Her name as the daughter of Lord Ganesa along with the method to propitiate her became popular around the year 1960.Even before that , her method of worship and her power to satisfy the prayers of devotees was being circulated in many parts of North India using posters and booklets . Then came a very successful hindi film about her which made her popular all over India.South Indians, who believed that Lord Ganesa had never married also started believing in her . Her worship consists of
