காசி கயாவுக்கு அவசியம் போகவேண்டும் ஏன்?

கீழ்க்கண்ட சில காரணங்களால் காசி - கயாவுக்கு ஒருவன் அவசியம் போகவேண்டும் :
1. நம் இல்லங்களில் உள்ள தெய்வமும், குலதெய்வ கோயில்களில் உள்ள தெய்வமும் ஒன்றுதான்
வருடத்தின் பல நாட்கள் நம் இல்லத்தில் உள்ள ஸ்வாமியை உபாசிக்கிறோம், ஆராதிக்கிறோம்,
ஆனால் வருடத்தில் ஒன்றிரண்டு நாட்கள் குல தெய்வ கோயில்களில் சென்று வழிபடுகிறோம் அல்லவா?
அதுபோலவே,
மாதா மாதம் தர்பணங்களாகவும்
வருடா வருடம் ச்ராத்தங்களாகவும் பித்ருக்களை நம் இல்லத்திற்கு வரவழைத்து ஆராதிக்கிறோம்.
காசி - கயா என்பது பித்ருக்கள் லோகம், அவர்கள் இருப்பிடம்
எனவே, ஆயுளில் ஒரு முறையேனும் ஒருவன் அவர்கள் இருக்கும் இடத்திற்குச் சென்று
அவர்களுக்குப் பிடித்த வகையில் ச்ராத்தம் செய்யவேண்டும்.

2. ச்ராத்தங்களை நம் இல்லங்களில் செய்யும்போது, நாம் மட்டுமே செய்வோம்
அதனால் நம் நேரங்களையும், பொருளையும் செலவிட்டு,
உடலை வருத்திக்கொண்டு பித்ருக்களுக்கு ஏதோ நன்மை செய்துவிட்ட
த்யாக சீலர்களாக மமதையுடன் இருப்போம்.

கயாவுக்குச் சென்று, 64 பிண்டங்களை வைக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் அதற்காகச்
சொல்லும் தாத்பர்யங்களை அறிய நேரிடும்போதும், லட்சக்கணக்கானவர்கள்
பித்ருக்களிடம் எவ்வளவு பக்தி ச்ரத்தையுடன் இருக்கிறார்கள், அவர்களுடன்
ஒப்பிடும்போது நம்முடையது எவ்வளவு கேவலமானது என்பதை அறிந்து
நம் ச்ரத்தை அதிகரிக்கும்.

3. ஒவ்வொருவரும் ச்ராத்தம் செய்து அதன் பலனை "ஶ்ரீ விஷ்ணு பாதே தத்தம்" என்று
சொல்லி தத்தம் செய்கிறார்கள். பூமி முழுவதும் விஷ்ணு பாதம்தான்,
பூமயில் எந்தப் பகுதியில் சேர்த்தாலும் அந்தப் பொருள் வரும்
ஆனால், பித்ரு ச்ராத்தத்தை தத்தம் செய்வதற்கென்றே கயாவில்
ஶ்ரீஜனார்தனப் பெருமாள் ஸந்நிதியில் வாயிலில் விஷ்ணுபாதம் உள்ளது
அந்த விஷ்ணு பாதத்தில் பிண்டத்தைச் சேர்பதே மிகுந்த பயனைத் தரும்.

4. நம் இல்லத்தில் ச்ராத்தம் பண்ணும்போது, நம் மூன்று தலைமுறை
பித்ருக்களை மட்டுமே அழைத்து ஆராதிக்கிறோம், வருடத்தில் ஒது முறை
மஹாளய பட்சத்தில் மட்டும் காருண்ய பித்ருக்கள் என்று அனைவரையும்
அழைக்கிறோம், ஆனால் கயாவிலோ, அப்பாவின் ஸந்ததி, அம்மாவின் ஸந்ததி,
என அவர்களின் தொடர்பில் உள்ள அனைத்துவித பித்ருக்களும் அங்கே
குழுமியிருப்பார்கள், அவர்கள் அனைவருக்குமாக அங்கே பிண்டம் வைக்கப்படுகிறது.
அதுமட்டுமின்றி, நம் வாழ்வில் எதிர்ப்பட்ட நண்பர்கள், அறிமுகமானவர்கள்
என அனைத்துவிதத்தினருக்கும் பிண்டம் வைக்க வாய்ப்புள்ளது.

இன்னும் பல காரணங்களைக் கூறலாம், ஆனால் இவை மிக முக்கியமானவை.

i think the question still original question of the original poster remains of 'why to go' for Kashi yatra. the attached blog talks about 'what to do' for kashi yatra.

Sri:
You are right.
That is not a translation of my post in Tamil and
there in nothing described about it.
Due to time concern I am describing the same in a short form.
The reason for Gaya Shradham:
1. Every year we are calling pitrus to our house from their shelter in this earth which is Gaya.
So, once we have to go there and should do the rituals in their place.
2. A person can get lot of explanations, how great matha and pita, while doing it practical when doing the 64 pindams to pitrus.
3. We will be in an idea that we are sacrificing our time and treasure for pitrus, for their benefit even after death,
but we could experience the fact, that actually we are the beneficiary and pitrus were sacrificed a lot for us,
still after death with their blessings only we are enjoying lot of earthly pleasures.
4. We can compare our faith and bhakthi in pitrus with other lakhs of melted down devotees performances with lot tears and lot of grievances which they failed to do while their parents were alive.
5. The ritual done at our home is limited for three generations of direct pitrus, but the ritual done at Gaya will include all known
and unknown, and also for persons who came across on our life and now not alive.
We can say so many reasons, but I hope these are well enough to convince a person who is really having a soft corner about pitrus.

GAYA SRADHA: It is the duty of the son to perform the sradha for the departed parents. It is very important , that once atleast, it should be performed in Gaya. A gaya sratha is said to do good to the ancesters foe several generations , ancesters for whom funeral rites had not been performed , or those who left no male issue, or those who lost their lives at a time and place not known to their relatives.

All those are benefitted by the gaya sratha and also all deceased persons on the mother's side on the wife "s side those of friends and relatives are pleased by such sratha.At Gaya the sradha is performed in three different places namely at the bank of Palguni, Vishnu padham and Akshayavadam.Those who can afford should perform sratha at 48 different places at Gaya.

Failure to perform sratha as mentioned above incurs the displeasure of ancesters and will result in difficulties, If it is performed in the proper manner with faith,one gets longevity, gains wisdom,wealth, a good family and other worldly affairs.
