Dear NVS Sir,
under[img] https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/272749617/images/Inspirational%20Quotes%20About%20Life.lnk
I have closed the img bracket adding slash prior to img This img is already in dropbox img file{under public} when tried inpreview post option only a small square appeared and not the actual image.there are three images in that file which i woud like to post it in our forum. please instruct.

You see,
You have given the url as:
under[img] https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...out%20Life.lnk

there is no closing tag,
.lnk will not work.
Only .jpg, .gif , .png files will work with img tag.
What is the actual name of your file as in the dropbox folder.
I hope that file should be some type of presentation like .pps or ppt etc.
Which will not work.
Different tag is for that.

I don't think that you had time to go through my above reply further i would like to clarify my one more doubt. I have downloaded a vedio from you tube which, when i tried to upload in our forum i couldn't.I've given the correct video url and got the reply as the video doesn't exist. and i tried to upload from dropbox but invain solution to this problem is also sought. inconvenience regretted.

Dear Sri.Soundararajan sir,
I had given necessary information about lnk files already.
.lnk files will not work any where.
They are purely temporary files, you can simply delete them.

You try to save images in your dropbox folder as any one of the following format
.jpg or .gif or .png
These are all easily acceptable image files by any type of internet features or programs.


About Youtube videos:
Unless otherwise you need a youtube video to be run many a times in your computers
do not download youtube videos.
You can easily share them in our forum and any where in online.
When you find a interesting youtube video which is running some where
right click on it
you will find "Copy Video Url" in the context menu (popup menu)
click on that and you will get the url of that video.

Now there are two methods to share a youtube video in our forum:

Method - 1:
Click on the "Insert Video" button
it will ask you the url in a popup window
paste the video url there and click ok
Below is the video added in this method:
I have not tried this.
Done.

Method - 2:
Use the [yvid] bbcode tag
for this you have to do some additional work
You have to take out only the 11 letters between 'V=' and '&feature' in that video url see below example
the required potion is highlighted in yellow.

Below is the example for this bbcode tag.

The difference between the above two methods are:
1. The second one will be very easier than the first one after few times practice.
2. The first one will load unwanted videos after the completion of this desired video
in which there may be a chance to load some adult contents.
