Sumagali Prarthanai Doubt

Dear Sri.NVS Sir, Sri.kgopalan Sir

I have lost my cousin ( Dayathi ) this year April 2013 and again another Cousin's wife Last week ( Dayathi)

My doubt is whether the restrictions followed for doing any Pandikaigal also applicable for doing Sumangali Prarthanai ?

Is that means till Varushabdheegam done next year in October 2014, we can not do this Sumagali Prarthanai?

Is this restriction applicable to our son/ daughter in law Family also for one year?

Dear Sri. J P Sir,
Sumangali Prarthanai can be postponed for one more year,
but no need to avoid celebrating festivals.

As Sapindikaranam and ekal are done, it is not necessary to keep dhukkam for one year,
but the actual kartha i.e the sons of the demised person should avoid celebrating the festivals,
that also not per shastram and it is by practice.
