Swamin,

Seemantam for my daughter-in law was performed 10 days back( 8th month). Sampanthi swamy and his wife came to accompany my daughter in law to their house for prasavam on 29-10-2012. All were ready for journey but the daughter in law felt in convenience and admitted into the hospital. On check up it was detected by the hospital that the child had developed some problem in breathing and subsequently died in the womb itself on 3o 10.2012 evening by 4 o'clock.
the child was taken out only on today 1-11-2012 to safeguard the mother by 8-45 morning. Mother is safe now and Child was buried today.

Now what to do further and how to observe theetu ?
who are all to observe theeu?
Gnathis also?
what to do at the end of theetu?
are we debarred from performing festivals for one year?
When my son has to remove his deekshai?

Dear Rangarajan Sir
I am very sorry to read about your loss.
I understand the agony of this loss.
After my seemadham, i also lost my first born, way back in 1970; subsequently my wife again conceived to deliver a boy child; later after two years , we had another girl child; May God bless your daughter in law with another baby and bring joy to everyone in your family.

Still Ihave doubts.
From which date the theetu starts? from today or the day before yesterday?
when my son has to remove his deeshai?
regarding Pandigaais of this year?

Always the theetu starts from the conformed time of death of demised.

Sri:
Dheekshai : One should not do kshavaram when he is in theetu.
Kshavaram is insisted for death on 10th day for the death of elder.
There is no Kshavaram for anybody in this case, because it is a baby, but all should do kshavaram
only after 10th day.

As there is no continuation of karma, so there is no restriction for any festival.

Swamin,

Since we are not performing any rituals for the child death, What will happen to the departed soul? How it will attain Moksha?
(THE QUESTION IS FOR ACADEMIIC INTEREST PLEASE)

மோக்ஷம் கிடைப்பதும் கிடைக்காததும்
செய்யப்படும் கர்மாவைப் பொறுத்தது அல்ல.
கர்மா என்பது கர்த்தாவுக்கு விதிக்கப்பட்டது, கர்மாவின் விளைவு கர்தாவைத்தான் பாதிக்குமே அன்றி,
கர்மாவின் கருப்பொருளை பாதிக்காது.
உதாரணமாக:- ஒருவர் கணபதி ஹோமம், நவக்ரஹ ஹோமம், சுதர்ஸனஹோமம்
என ஏதாவதொன்றைச் செய்கிறார் எனக் கொள்வோம்;

ஒரு ஹோமத்தைச் சரியாகச் செய்யாவிட்டால், அந்தக் கருப்பொருளான
தேவதைக்கு எந்தத் தீங்கும் இல்லை, சரியாகச் செய்தால் அந்த தேவதை,
அநுக்ரஹம் செய்யும்.
பித்ரு தேவதை என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது, வைணவர்கள் ச்ராத்தத்தை
திருவத்யானம் என்பர், அதாவது பித்ரு ஆராதனம் என்று பொருள்.
ஆராதிக்கப்படும் எந்த தேவதைக்கும் ஸ்தோத்ரம் - போற்றுதல் மட்டுமே,
பலன் ஆராதிப்பவனுக்கு.

ஒவ்வொரு ஆன்மாவும் கிடைத்த சரீரத்துக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட தர்மத்தைக் கடைப்பிடிப்பதன் மூலம்
பாபத்தையோ, புண்ணியத்தையோ சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு அடுத்த பிறவியைத் தீர்மானித்துக்கொள்கிறது.

எனவே ஒவ்வொருவரும் தத்தம் செயல்பாட்டினால் தங்களுக்குப் பலன் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளலாம்,
எவருடைய செயலாலும் (கர்மாவாலும்) யாருடைய வினைப்பயனையும் மாற்ற இயலாது.

பீஷ்மருடன் அவருக்கு முன்னால் ஏழு குழந்தைகள் பிறந்தன அனைத்தும்
பிறந்த அன்றே தன் தாயினால் கங்கையில் வீசப்பட்டு இறந்தன.
பீஷ்மர் உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்துக் குழந்தைகளும் அஷ்ட வசுக்களாகும்.
ஏதோ ஒரு சாபத்தினால் பூமியில் பிறக்க நேரிட்டு, சாபமிட்டவரே மிகக் குறுகிய காலம்
பூமியில் இருந்துவிட்டு மீண்டும் பழைய வசு தேவதைகளாக ஆகலாம் என்ற வரத்தினால்
அவை பிறந்து உடனே இறந்து நற்கதியை அடைந்தன.

எனவே பிறரின் கதி என்ன ஆகும் என்பதைப் பற்றிய கவலை நமக்குத் தேவையில்லை,
இறந்துபோனால் என்ன செய்வது என்று கவலைப்படுவதால் எப்படிப் பயனில்லையோ,
அதுபோல் ஒவ்வொரு தனிப்பட்டவரின் பாப புண்ணிய விபரம் நமக்கு வெளிப்படையாகத்
தெரியாதாகையால் அவரின் கதிபற்றி கவலைப்படுவதிலும் அர்த்தமில்லை.

இதுபோல ப்ரசவத்திலேயே மரணம் அடைபவர்களுக்கும் ச்ராத்தத்தில் ஒரு பகுதி மந்த்ரம்
உள்ளது என்பது நிறையபேருக்குத் தெரியாது.
பார்வண ச்ராத்தத்தில் - பித்ரு வர்ண ஸ்வாமியின் இலையின் முன் உதிரி சாதம் வைக்கும்போது
சொல்லப்படும் மந்த்ரம் : "அஸம்ஸ்க்ருத ப்ரமீதாயே த்யாகின்யோயா: குலஸ்த்ரிய: தாஸ்யாமி
தேப்ய: .... பைத்ருகம்". இதன் பொருள்: எம் குலத்தில் மூன்று தலைமுறையைச் சேர்ந்த
சரியாக ஸம்ஸ்க்ருதம் (கர்மா) பண்ணப்படாமல் விடப்பட்ட பித்ருக்களுக்காக இதைச் சமர்பிக்கிறேன்".
அதுபோல் காக்காய் பிண்டம் வைக்கும்போது:- "யே அக்நி தக்தா: யே அநக்நி தக்தா: யே வா ஜாதா:
குலே மம பூமௌ தத்தேந பிண்டேந - அஸ்மத்குல ப்ரஸூதி ம்ருதேப்ய: அயம் பிண்ட: ஸ்வதா நம:"
பொருள்: "அக்நியில் எரிக்கப்பட்டோ, அக்நியின்றி புதைக்கப்பட்டோ, கர்பத்திலேயே மரித்தோ
மரணமடைந்த எம் குலத்தைச் சேர்ந்த முன்னோருக்காக இந்தப் பிண்டத்தை ஸ்வதா என்னும்
பித்ரு போஜனமாக வழங்குகிறேன்" - என்பதாகும்.

எனவே அந்தக் குழந்தை எந்த கதியை அடைந்திருக்கும் என்ற சிந்தனையை விட்டு,
நம் கர்மாக்களை நாம் சரியாகச் செய்யும்போது, அந்த ஈச்வரனால் யார் யாருக்கு
என்னென்ன கிடைக்கவேண்டுமோ அவை சரிவரக் கிடைக்கச் செய்யப்படும் என்ற
மனநிறைவுடன் கடைமையாற்றவேண்டும்.

பரமபதித்தவர் வீட்டிற்கு நேராக சென்று விசாரித்துவிட்டு அங்கிருந்து மற்றொருவர் வீட்டிற்கு சென்று ஸ்நானம் செய்துவிட்டு அங்கேயே தங்கலாமா?
