    Ayushhomam

    Is ayushhomam the same for all celebration like, on completion of one year of the child, Sastiapthapoorthi, Sadabhishekam etc., .. P.S.Narasimhan

    All are same.
    But some extra shanthi jabhams will be done in Shasti Poorthi and Sathabhishegam.

        Sri:
        Ayushya Homam is done with a Suktham start as "yo brahma"
        which is having 8 slokas in it.
        If it is done one time by 4 ridwigs the total count will be 32
        According to the availability of time before the end of muhurtham the Avarties will be done.
        To complete 1008 Avarties (for good effects) 4 ridwigs should do 32 times
        which will take about 40 to 50 minutes according to speed.
        1008 Avarties can be completed within 25 minutes if done with 6 ridwigs in 21 times.
        All other homams like Dhanvantari etc. can be done as etc.
