there is one more meaning for beema this is 54. In this age we must do beema shanthi. shanthi kusumakaram and shanthi rathnakaram books in grantha lipi is explaining in detail about these shanthees.

ratham means chariot. another meaning for ratham is pallam. to saveguard u s from faaling in to a big pit we have to do shanthi. ayushya homam. mruthyanjaya homam. dasa danam. navagraha homam.; kalasa sthaapanam. . reciting manthras like the begining of four vedha manthras; mruthyo sookthangkal; rudhram, chamakam.prusha suuktham, vishnu sooktham, brahma sooktham,ruthra sooktham,durga sooktham; dik palaka manthram, wavagragha manthram sri sooktham; ayusya sooktham; panja shaanthi/ mruthyunjaya manthram. om namo brahmane and also homamto these gods.

kalasa avahanam, shodasa upachara poojai. punar poojai. abishekam aardhra vasthra dhaanam. dasa daanam etc;

27 January 2017 is Mauni Amavasya

Mauni Amavasya occurs in Maga month during January and February as per the traditional calendar followed in North India. It is also called Maghi Amavasya and is the last Amavasya before the occurrence of Sivarathri. As the term Maunide notes, Mauni Amavasya is a day for observing silence and through that silence seeking self-realization and spiritual wisdom. When the mind is silent, it is set up on deep meditation to take a journey into the soul and realize self.
Mauni Amavasya is considered powerful since the sun and the Moon enter the sign of Capricorn on this day.

On the day of Mauni Amavasya, people take a bath in holy rivers like Ganges. It is considered equivalent to conducting Rajasuya yagna and Aswamethayagna. And on this day, it is considered sacred to donate clothes to the needy and the poor, offer food to the downtrodden, help the kushta rogi and conduct homams.
