Re: To knot brahma mudichchu.
If I am correct, I am told that the three threads represent Brahma, Vishnu
and Rudra. As you said, the Brahma Mudichu integrates everything. In
fact, it denotes the spiritual ordeals that one must go through before one
gains spiritual knowledge and wisdom of the Divine Power. Therefore, one
should meditate regularly the Gayathri Japam. Besides, a point has also
been mentioned about wearing the Poonal. In our body, the upper portion
above the naval is supposed to be pure and the bottom portion is termed
as impure. Hence in olden days, while people go for urination, stools, etc.
the sacred thread is changed from the normal position and worn around
the neck and is placed on the ear. Here, I am told that, the right ear has
its own importance, i.e. the ear is a place where the deities like adithya,
vasu, rudra, vayu, agni, veda, dharma, etc. rests. Hence, the mere
sparsam of the right ear has the advantages of ritual benefits. Further,
it is said that while we do achamanam, after doing it, we touch the
right ear also. With the sacred thread resting on the right ear,
impurity aspect does not arise. In fact, one should do achamanam
after urination. Some say, if the water is not instantly available,
one can chant the pranava mantra by touching the right year as an
exception. It has some scientific significance too. Further, the
the three threads denotes, after wedding, Grahastas has to have
an upper garment. One might have noticed in villages, people always
keep a towel on the shoulder. Therefore, an Uthariyam is essential.
In order to overcome this, as an alternate, the second thread nullifies
the above. To conclude, one for becoming brahmacharya i.e. Upanayanam,
the second one for becoming a married man and the third one as a standby
for Uthariyam.

What you have explained is all good for everybody. But my question is "How to knot the Brahmma mudichchu"? The person who makes the Poonool put the knot at the end of making. How it is done is what I want to know?
As informed earlier, jagnopavitam which has 3 threads represents the
sookshmam of trimurthis. I am going through the material which I read
very recently about the significance of brahma mudichu and I shall post it
very shortly. The knot which connects all the threads is known as "knot of
Brahma". I am trying to find the sloka which is chanted at the time of
putting the knot of Brahma. Thanks for your query.

Re: To knot brahma mudichchu.
Yagnopavitam which has 3 threads is connected by a Brahma Mudichu.
I remember to have read this knot, as a unit which has a speed equal to
one nautical mile per hour, which is equal to approx. 1.151 mph in an
encyclopedia. I have just forgotten the title of the file, which I am trying
to recollect. Further, if one goes by the speed, around 1008 gayathri
japas are recited and I am only trying to recollect the tone and and number of
items it is recited while putting the knot. As you know that Gayathri is not
to be spelt fast and it has to be chanted in stages. I shall get back to
you very soon.
