SHANTI HOMAM AFTER 77 YEARS+?

Respected Dr.NVS, Elders ,
i had completed 77 years on 24th Jan by calendar and on 9th Feb asper star, Pooradam.
I am advised by some relative that after completion of 77 years, 7 months and 7 days, I have to perform a Shanti Homam.
I request the knowledgeable Swamins to advice what i should do. I am a Vadama Iyer , poorveekam Mannargudi.
