Dharbhai

Hi. Namaskarams.

Presently I buy Dharbhai with Pavithram and Koorcham for 1 year requirement. Is it correct to keep the same at home for such a long period.
I also understand that it is advisable to keep dharbai at home. Pl clarify.

It is wonder, which or What make people to ask these type of questions.
Shastra says, the sanctity of dharbham will be losts long if picked on the day of Thai Amvasya and Avani Amavasya.
But A brhamin should always have stock of dharbam, Poonal, Thiruman, Srichurnam or other type of thilakam, vibhuti etc. with him.
