Symptoms of a person affected by rakshasa -Sanskrit sloka
नष्टनिद्रमन्नपानद्वेषिणमनाहारमप्यतिबलिनं शस्त्रशोणितमांसरक्तमाल्याभिलाषिणं सन्तर्जकं
च राक्षसोन्मत्तं विद्यात्।।
(चरकसंहिता-चिकित्सास्थानम् ९/२०) Sleeplessness, hatred for food and drinks, and excessive strength in spite of aversion for food, liking for weapons, blood, meat and red garlands and ferociousness are the features of the patients suffering from unmada caused due to affliction by rākṣasa (demons).
