*पुष्पे गन्धं तिले तैलं काष्ठेऽग्निं पयसि घृतम*।
*इक्षौ गुडं तथा देहे पश्याऽऽत्मानं विवेकतः*॥

*यद्यपि पुष्प में गंध, तिलों में तेल, लकड़ी में अग्नि, दुग्ध में घृत तथा ईख में मिठास विद्यमान होती है, तथापि वह दिखाई नहीं देती। इसी प्रकार मनुष्य के शरीर मे आत्मा का वास होता है। उसे देखा नहीं जा सकता, लेकिन विवेक द्वारा उसे अनुभव किया जा सकता है। इसलिए मनुष्य को विवेक द्वारा आत्मा को जागृत करना चाहिए।*

*Although in the floral scent, oil in sesame, fire in the wood, thickened in milk, sweetness prevails in the reed, but it does not appear. Similarly, the soul resides in the human body. He can not be seen, but by discrimination he can be experienced. Therefore, man should awaken the soul by discrimination.*
