घटं भिन्द्यात् पटं छिन्द्यात् कुर्याद्रासभरोहणम् |
येन केन प्रकारेण प्रसिद्ध: पुरुषो भवेत् ||
घड़े फोड़कर, कपड़े फाड़कर या गधे के ऊपर चढ़कर. कुछ लोग किसी भी तरह, कुछ भी करके लोकप्रिय होना चाहते हैं ||
{भौतिक सुख प्राप्त करने के लिए धन का होना आवश्यक है, धन के बिना आप भौतिक सुख प्राप्त नहीं कर सकते, बंगला, कार, बाइक, टीव्ही, फ्रीज जैसी वस्तुएँ, जो कि भौतिक सुख प्राप्त करने के साधन हैं, धन के बिना प्राप्त नहीं हो सकतीं। अतः धन प्राप्त करना ही हमारे जीवन का मुख्य उद्देश्य हो गया है भले ही इसके लिए हमें कुछ भी न क्यों करना पड़े। धन् प्राप्त करने के इसी उद्देश्य ने आज देश को भ्रष्टाचार के गर्त में धकेल कर रख दिया है।}
by breaking the pots. tearing off the cloths, (or) by riding on a donkey. by hook or by crook, person should become popular. In this Subhashit, Subhaashitkar is describing those people, whose aim is just to become popular by any means. If we look around in our society, we will find plenty of them. A few people are always engaged in these "घटं भिन्द्यात्" types of activities and by that they earn fame, they've got nothing else to bank on.
Obviously Subhaashitkar is asking us to check whether we are doing anything like that.
