    Dear friends,
    Now here is a recipe for OATS UPMA.

    OATS UPMA

    INGREDIENTS

    Oats -100g
    onion -30g
    green chillies - 4-5
    oil -7.5 ml
    Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
    Black gram dhal - 1/2tsp
    curry leaves few
    Turmeeric powder -1/4tsp
    Sugar -1/4tsp
    Lemon juice -1tsp
    Coriander leaves =few
    salt -to taste

    METHOD

    Heat oil in a pan.aadd mustard seeds black gram dhal. Cook till golden brown.
    Add curry leaves,chopped green chillies,chopped onions and turmeric powder. Fry till onions start to look transparent. Add salt and sugar to the above mixture and fry for a min.
    Now add oats and fry for 2-3 mins.Add 1/2-3/4 cup of water to the above mixture and cook till the oats turn soft. Add lemon juice and mix well.
    Garnish with coriander leaves.
    Serve with chutney/sauce.
    You can add other veggies like finely chopped carrots & capsicum ,green-peas etc., which will make it more colourful and tastier.Nutritive values will slightly go up
