Why Tuesdays are to be avoided for Hair cut?

Tuesdays are associated with the planet Mars which is believed to have a negative influence. Mars is considered the red planet because of its bright red color it’s also considered a bad day to get your hair cut. Some barber shops close on Tuesdays in TamilNadu since they fear they may cause cut injury to their customer and see blood which is red in color.

Forget about Hindu Beliefs on cutting Hair, Nail etc on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Someday in a week is to be taken as rest day; The Barbers have their own association and they have decided to close shop on Tuesdays; Contact your Barber and get the answer.

You could have contacted and given an appropriate answer for more justification towards your post.

I have heard from Brahmasri. Seshadri sastrigal (Sankara tv fame "Dharmasastram") that things like avoiding hair cuts on tuesdays are very recent ones(probably cooked up by our own people) and are not prescribed in the dharma shastras (i.e smrithi)as to when to do it and when to avoid etc., It is because of these kinds of irrational beliefs that our sanathana dharma is looked down upon and perhaps people feel more justified avoiding them (to suit their needs).

Since you had earlier contacted Brahmasri. Seshadri sastrigal (Sankara tv fame "Dharmasastram") and got the reply on this matter, you could have posted that reason for the benefit of members.
That would have been more appropriate than again posting a question.
Hindus have many superstitions like every other religion and believing or ignoring it depends upon each individual.
