Webinar: Persecution, Proselytisation & Distortion of Hindus & their Identity
Perhaps Jews and Hindus are the only two People to have undergone untold persecution historically at the hands of both Islam and Christianity. This persecution continues till date. As far as Hindus are concerned, this persecution continues to occur in their own homeland, India. Apart from persecution, Hindus are the biggest targets for proselytisation primarily by Christian missionaries of all hues and by Islam to a very limited extent. Yet another danger that has assumed alarming proportions is the widespread distortions about Hindu texts, traditions, festivals, institutions, and their way of life.
It is to spread awareness and further the discussion around these themes that IndiaFacts has scheduled a webinar entitled Persecution, Proselytisation & Distortion of Hindus and their Identity on 18 August 2014 at 7:30 P.M. The webinar will be chaired by the well-known advocate of Hindu causes, a journalist, activist and author, Francois Gautier.
