Kidney failure develops over a long period, some times years.Some people experience a general pattern of discomfort signalling a build up of wastge products in the body, while some experience no pain at all.
What have we to watch out for?
1.CHANGES IN URINATION
Since the kidney removes waste through urine, it makes sense to watch for changes in frequency, quantity, or the appearance of urine.Blood in the urine is is probably the most startling warning sign, but cloudy or foamy urine could indicate kidney failure.Emptying your bladder more often, less often or incompletely is another suspicious sign

2. FATIGUE
Another overlooked symptom is Anemia which leads to fatigue.It csuses less production of Red Blood Cells, leading to less oxygen to energize your cells and tissues.Since fatigue is a common complaint, it is mostly ignored for kidney failure.
3. SWELLING,
Fluid build up in the face, hands and feet, (edema) may mean that the kidney is not removing thewaste at the requisite rate leading to it getting stored in parts of the body.Patients find that though they are losing weight, their face, hands and feet look puffy.
4.ITCHING
Itching is very common symptom of waste build up
.Sometimes comes with a rash, sometimes much deeper in the tissues.In general, the whole body itchespersisting for a long time.Sometimes the skin turns a yellow colour as well.
5 LOSS OF APPETITE
Buildup of toxins in your system affects the taste buds giving a metallic taste to the food, leading to your loss of appetite as your liking reduces.
6. ' If excess fluid builds up around the lungs or the membrane surrounding the heart, you may feel shortness of breath, pain or tightness in the chest.Build up of Potassium in the blood will lead to abnormal heart rhythms which may lead to sudden heart failure.
KIDNEY FAILURE IS TREATABLE if detected early.
