How to upload pdf from my pc downloads

Dear Sir,
While creating new thread how to upload the pdf from my document? I know[pdf]....[slashpdf] to be used, but what to type in between pdfs where there is no url available? bit elaboarate explanation requested.Thanking you.

Sri:
1. You create a folder under your dropbox -> Public folder and name it as pdf.
2. Save the pdfs you wanted to share with us in that folder first.
3. After you find a green tic on the lower left corner of that file (which means dropbox uploaded it)
right click on that (pdf) file and click on the Copy Public Link menu.
4. Now You got the url for the uploaded pdf file. You have put that url between [pdf] bbcodes.
5. If you want to give a download option for that file you can use the [dload] bbcode
as [dload] .... url .... [/dload].
